Dr. Ruma Baksi earned her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and master’s degree in Veterinary Biochemistry from West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (W. B. U. A. F. Sc.), India. She was awarded a Ph.D. in Science from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
She has more than 15 years of experience in nonclinical and clinical safety and efficacy studies, toxicity studies, PK/PD studies, bioequivalence studies, tumor xenograft studies and various animal models for human diseases. She pursued her doctorate with a specialization in cancer biology and nano-drug delivery while working for a pharmaceutical research organization. Later, she obtained her Post doctoral research experience in understanding the role of immune response against infectious diseases.
She is an experienced freelance medical writer and works for both human and animal health care companies. She has profound experience in protocol designing, data analysis, preparing oral and poster presentations, writing study reports, project proposals, short communications, reviews and research articles, dossier compilation etc.
